The Surety Family of Companies (“Surety”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit mysurety.com (“Visitors”), and the individuals who decide to use the services Surety provides (“Customers”).

When contacting us, you may provide Surety with personal contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address. When utilizing services, Surety will require information associated with a mortgage closing, such as loan numbers, amounts, and other financial information (“Closing Information”). This information and anything that you submit to Surety through the course of our relationship are referred to collectively as “Data.”

4. Use of Data
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to place an order for title insurance or search.
We request information from you on our order form. So that we may fulfill your request, you must provide contact information (like name, phone number, email and address) and may also provide personal information (like social security numbers and dates of birth). This information is used to fulfill your orders
5. Storage and Retention of Data
Collected Data will be retained for a minimum of 7 years unless specifically requested by a Customer to be disposed of. Surety can only dispose of collected personal Data that is not associated with or affiliated with a transaction in any material fashion.
Collected Data will be stored in accordance with appropriate access controls in the infrastructure or the cloud services utilized by Surety.
6. Security
Surety takes reasonable measures to protect Data for which it is a custodian of including but not limited to:
● Role Based Access Controls;
● At Rest Encryption (where applicable);
● In Transit Encryption (where applicable);
● Use of commercial encryption mechanisms;
● Use of endpoint protection mechanisms; and
● Use of firewalls and other security technologies.
In the event of a breach, Surety will provide notice no later than 72 hours after said breach has been positively confirmed to the individuals whose data may have been affected.
7. Your rights under CPRA (formerly CCPA)
Applicability: Citizens of the State of California receiving direct consumer services from the Surety Family of Companies.
As such, in accordance with Section 1798.105 of the CCPA:
(d) A business or a service provider shall not be required to comply with a consumer’s request to delete the consumer’s personal information if it is necessary for the business or service provider to maintain the consumer’s personal information in order to:
(1) Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by the consumer, or reasonably anticipated within the context of a business’ ongoing business relationship with the consumer, or otherwise perform a contract between the business and the consumer.

Surety’s’ use of Customer Data is consistent with the aforementioned sections.
8. Your Access and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

● Change/correct any data we have about you.
● Have us delete any data we have about you.
● Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
9. Changes to this Policy
Surety reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated through the mysurety.com website at least thirty (30) business days prior to the change taking effect.
